What is a birth chart?
A birth chart, or natal chart, is a map of where the Sun, Moon and planets were in the sky at the exact moment and place you were born. Astrologers read it to describe personality, needs and patterns.
Why does my birth time matter?
The sky turns a full circle every day, so your rising sign changes about every two hours and the houses shift every few minutes. Without a time we can still place the planets in their signs, but not your rising sign or houses.
What is a rising sign?
Your rising sign, or ascendant, is the zodiac sign that was coming up over the eastern horizon when you were born. It is often read as the way you meet the world and the first impression you give.
Is my birth chart accurate?
Planet positions are calculated from modern astronomical models and agree with Swiss Ephemeris, the standard used by professional astrology software, to within a third of an arcminute. Your result is only as accurate as the birth time you enter.
Do you store my birth details?
No. Your chart is calculated in your browser and your details are kept only on your own device.
